Import TXF (Tax Exchange Format) Files Into TurboTax 2010

Overview:

  1. Another program (TXF format only)

    Open TurboTax, click on "Personal" tab on the top, then click on "Personal Income".
    Find section "Let's Import Your Tax Related Info".
    Choose "From Accounting Software" and then "Another program (TXF format only)".

  2. Import from Other Financial Programs

    Choose "Income" and then "Continue".

  3. Choose a TXF File to Import

    Follow "Browse To Find File" and select a .TXF file you want to import. You should see the imported txf file.

  4. Choose the Information You want to Import

    Check the "Stocks/Bonds/Mutual Funds" and click on "Import Now". The TXF file will then be imported.
