Import TXF (Tax Exchange Format) Files Into H&R Block TaxCut 2010

Choose TXF Import
Option A - If you import a TXF into an existing tax return, select "Import Financial Information..." from the "File" menu.
Option B - If you start a new tax return, go to "Welcome" and then "Smart Import" and follow the steps below. - Import Individual TXF Files
- Go to "Federal" and then "Income"
Import Financial Information...
Select "Import Financial Information..." from the "File" menu.
Import Data from Financial Software
Answer "Yes" to the question Do you want to import data from financial software?
Click on the "Next" button.
Select Financial Program
Select "Other program that supports Tax Exchange Format (TXF)"
Click on the "Next" button.
Other Finance Program
Click on the "Import" button.
Choose a TXF File to Import
Choose a .txf file you want to import.
Import Successful
You should see the imported txf file.
Click on the "Import Selected File" button
You can click on the "View Summary" link to see imported data.
Where Do You Want To Go?
Click on "Go To" to the right of "Sale of Stock, Bonds, Mutual Funds, and Investment Property (1099-B)".
This will lead you to all the stock and option trades you imported into TaxCut.
Sale of Stocks and Other Assets (1099-B)
You can check and verify your stock and options trades. If anything does not look right, you can edit the imported trades as well.
