Interactive Brokers

Interactive Brokers customers can use TXF Creator and TXF Online to convert stock and option trades to the standard TXF format, which can be imported into tax software TurboTax and TaxCut.

Import Stock Trades from Interactive Brokers

1. Log into your Interactive Brokers account.
2. Click on Report Management on the left panel.
3. Click on Tax Forms on the left panel.
4. Select Schedule D Gain/Loss Summary Worksheet.
5. Select MS Excel as the file format.
6. Click on button View Report to download your trade file.
7. Save the file with extension .xls or .html.
8. To protect your personal information, please edit the .xls or .html file to remove your name and social security number. You can use NotePad, MS Word or any text editor to do the editing work.
